REPLACEMENT SITE OPERATOR

The Waste Reduction District of Monroe County is accepting applications for the position of Replacement Site Operator. This is an on-call position with no set schedule and a pay rate of $19.01 per hour.

The Replacement Site Operator will work as needed at any of the District’s recycling centers and is responsible for ensuring facility is clean and orderly at all times, monitoring trash, recycling and household hazardous waste delivered to the site for the presence of unacceptable items, assisting customers as needed, arranging for the switching of roll-off boxes when full, providing site lawn maintenance, and other duties as assigned. 

This position requires work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, occasional lifting up to fifty (50) pounds and the ability to work eleven and one-half (11½) hours per scheduled day.  Applicants must possess good communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with the public in a friendly and courteous manner.  Candidates should be familiar with the operation of electric powered hydraulic compactors, lawn mowers and weed eaters.

Pre-employment drug screen is required.
